The Edmonton History Exhibit is a collection of photographs and items sourced from the Exhibitioned archive, as well as various Edmontonian partners to tell the history of Edmonton's fairgrounds and many past events. Included in the exhibit are captioned photographs, historical videos, items from early rodeos, horse racing and Coliseum events, an authentic stagecoach, and more. Step back in time and learn some fun facts about how this legendary summer fair came to be!
The History Exhibit is also hosting "L'empreinte francohphone / The Francophone Imprint: the epic journey of the French people in Alberta". These bilingual panels tell the story of Alberta's Francophone community.
While this exhibit details a history of the Edmonton Fair and other Albertan communities, it does not detail the history of the land Edmonton has been built on. We encourage attendees to visit the Indigenous Experience in Hall C to recognize the people whose territory Edmonton exists upon, and more about their history and their present.
